POTENTIONAL EXAM QUESTION : identify and explain a potentional ethical issue based on the brief  (3)
What 3 ASOS ethical issues have they addressed
  1. A variety of ethnicity/races - expanding the mass audience
  2. A variety of body images - important to the brand due to a bigger profit/mass audience if a larger variety of women are buying their clothes
  3. A variety of styles and promoting individuality
HOWEVER
The woman on the left is very striking however she's standing out due to her differing facial expressions to the rest of the models and the animals print that she is wearing could be connoted as racist

SCENARIO
An educational video game aimed at 8-12 year olds about healthy eating.
ethical issues that we need to address
  1. different race characters - characters featured in the game are of different ethnicities
  2. different nations cuisines shown in the game - when food is shown not only European meals are shown
  3. a variety of disability characters in the game - characters featured in the game are of different disabilities
  4. different body imaged characters featured in the game are of different body images
  5. simplistic language so the children could understand how to play the game,
  6. making sure the use of images aren't too explicit

Ethically why was this image banned? (ASA regulatory board)

Some have argued that the young actress who is holding a phallic symbol (the flower) between her legs is being subjected as a sex icon, the model who is 15 years old is underage for sex is almost advertising the perfume to young audiences to lose their virginities

If you do not adhere to ethical issues your product can be;
